Description and information on the beaches of Antiparos
Organized, with water toys, quiet and secluded beaches in Paros

The beaches of Antiparos stretch along the coastline to satisfy a wide range of preferences: from lovers of quiet beaches to those of entertainment near the sea or fans of water sports. Everyone gets what they look for. Sandy or with fine pebble, really shallow and ideal for children, accessible by car or recluse, only by boat... then, all have one thing in common: Crystal clear waters to swim or dive in and explore the emerald tinged seabed.
The following beaches are very close to the settlement, a mere 5 minute walk
Psaralykes 1st and 2nd. Two organised beaches, side by side, one leading up to the other, with golden sand, beach bars, sunbeds and water toys (inflatable bananas etc.) but also a natural shade by lovely tamarisk trees.

Panagia (or Psaralyki no. 3). A large bay with crystal clear waters, sandy beaches, silvery pebbles and dense shade from coastal trees. There is a taverna with traditional cuisine. (Public bus stop)

Sifneiko or Sun Set Beach, at a walking distance from the square (500m) or by car using the ring road. Boasting fine sand, it’s an easy pick for a swim in clear waters. There is a children's playground and stone benches to lay back and gaze all the way out to Sifnos, hence the namesake. Sunset is special, as long as it’s not windy. Enjoy a romantic dinner and drink with a view to the majestic sunset at Sifneikos Gialos.

Ag. Spyridonas. The shallow water, sandy beach of the island with its distinctive tamarisk trees. It’s located northeast of the harbour. A baby beach paradise.

Kalargyrous Beach is located at the northeastern part of the island. It’s the quietest beach of Antiparos, with a seabed both sandy and rocky.

The Camping beach, with its stunning, clear, turquoise waters. It attracts a great deal of young people, naturally, being a partially nude beach.

Beaches more or less farther away from the settlement
In the east, some 3.5 km from the port, there’s Glyfa, one of the most popular beaches. Its crystal clear waters and sand are magic. Organised, with umbrellas, sunbeds, a cafeteria and windsurfing school. Access to the beach is easy. (Public bus stop)

Right after the Cave junction lies Apantima beach; sheltered by winds, it features a small and fine sandy beach, plenty of space and an organised beach club-restaurant. (Public bus stop)

At 8 km from the harbour there’s the bustling beach of Soros, the longest beach of Antiparos. A spotless, wide sandy beach with fine pebble and deep waters. Everybody loves it. There are traditional local cuisine restaurants. (Public bus stop). Just before it, there’s Mikros Soros, a fine pebbled beach, to satisfy those non-fans of sand.

To the south, at about 2km from Soros, swimming and diving in Sostis is nothing short of unforgettable! A small sandy beach with turquoise waters. Further down, beneath the chapel of Faneromeni, giant rocks have carved a shelter from winds, for moments of tranquillity but... for some thrilling dives too!

Livadia, past Kampos, is a remote sandy, no shade beach, ideal for nature lovers. Monastiria are two sandy beaches between two hills, at the western part of the island, with a rich sea bottom.

Agios Georgios settlement and nearby excursions
The Agios Georgios settlement features three beaches: Kako Rema, a sandy beach with a magnificent view, ideal for relaxation

The small harbour of Ai-Giorgis features tavernas and cafés to enjoy expansive, magnificent views and local delicacies. (Public bus stop).
The jetty hosts those fishing boats not out at sea. There rests also the boat that takes tourists on excursions to Despotiko or to more exotic beaches around the island and nearby rocky islets, such as "Epitaphios" – with white vertical cliffs, blue-green waters and underwater caves. Spilia Tis Fokias (“seal’s cave”) also lies nearby. The seals rear up their heads, as they swim around Despotiko Bay, and often prey on dolphins.

Despotiko This uninhabited island, garnering archaeologists’ interest, boasts some beautiful beaches tucked away, accessible by private or liner boat from Agios Georgios, with frequent, daily itineraries. Suitable for swimming is Plakakia, a beach opposite Agios Georgios, at the chapel of Panagia, as well as Livadi, at the south of the island. A unique beach with silvery sand and crystal clear waters.
